Olympus Midi is the newest compact refuse collection vehicle (RCV) from Dennis Eagle in12-16 tonne category. The vehicle features the Olympus body fitted on a compact chassis to meet the growing demand for smaller RCVs with high payloads.

The 2025 Olympus Midi is offered in three variants with capacities of 9.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 10), 10.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 11) and 11.8 m³ (OL-MIDI 12). Its wheelbase starts at just 3.25m with a width of 2,350mm for manoeuvrability and a tight turning circle.

Features on the Olympus Midi

Designed to be fitted on the most common 12t to 16t GVW chassis in the marketplace, its engineers have worked with chassis providers to ensure easy integration on a range of frames.

Dennis Eagle shares that the Midi's designers opted for a sleek, contemporary body design while ensuring user-friendly features that enhance operational efficiency. Produced from hard-wearing materials, including Hardox 400, the exterior is corrosion-resistant. Design elements, such as the class-leading short rear overhang, have reduced weight and contribute to being able to maximize the payload capacity.

Other features include a compactor speed of 17 seconds and a wide tailgate hopper. The Midi has the standard features of Olympus, including being able to optimize ejector plate retention for handling multiple waste types efficiently. Built for durability, the Midi is equipped with heavy-duty connectors and wiring for ultimate durability in harsh weather conditions.

As part of the Olympus family, the Midi comes with a configurable HMI display, enabling operators to efficiently manage key functions such as bin lifter movements, integration of body weighing systems, diagnostics, rear camera integration, and access to the Terberg Connect telematics and remote diagnostics system. For streamlined fleet maintenance, the Midi shares common electrical components with the Olympus and Twin Pack models, including cabin terminal, harnessing, encoders, switches, and control panels.

Versatile bin-lifting options

Operators can choose from multiple bin-lifting configurations, including an integrated multifunction bin lift — ideal for 2- and 4-wheel waste collections — or a Terberg OmniDEL or OmniDEKA automatic bin lift. An open-back configuration is also available. The lifting capacity of the integrated lift is another area where the Midi excels, delivering as standard a maximum lifting capacity of 500kg.

Safety as standard

Fully compliant with EN-1501 and CE-approved, the Olympus Midi continues Dennis Eagle's commitment to providing market-leading safe refuse collection vehicles. Ergonomically designed to ensure a comfortable and safe working environment, it features new LED lighting to ensure that operators and the vehicle itself are always clearly visible.

"Dennis Eagle's Olympus Midi continues the brand's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in waste collection," says Dennis Eagle's sales and marketing manager, Lee Rowland. "With its compact size, advanced technology, and industry-leading durability, the Olympus Midi is a welcome addition to our family."
