ECO Grater secondary electric shredder ideal for processing primary shreds into wire-free rubber chips and mulch
ECO Green Equipment recently announced the latest addition to their recycling equipment lineup—the ECO Grater. The ECO Grater is a secondary electric shredder ideal for processing primary shreds smaller than 150 mm (6” inches) into wire-free rubber chips/mulch for secondary uses. The ECO Grater provides aggressive shredding capabilities to processors who demand the best efficiencies and low maintenance. The unit churns through primary tire shreds outputting uniform rubber chips/mulch down to 16 mm (0.625” inches) in size. Operators can now enjoy increased volume production of tire shredding plus a high proportion of output—up to 12 tons per hour.
The ECO Grater is designed with an aggressive low RPM, high torque grinding technology. Powered by a 250 HP motor, the shredder features lower operational costs, (up to 40% less energy consumption with increased torque over leading competitor shredders). Easy access service doors open to reveal a cutting chamber containing an impressive set of cutting knives.
Mr. Jon Maly, North America Sales Manager with ECO Green Equipment said, “The ECO Grater is the latest technology in wire liberation and rubber mulch production with one of the lowest in estimated wear costs around $4 - $8 per ton. Those who have interest in maximizing their returns and investment in tire shredding production must seriously consider the ECO Grater.”
The ECO Grater was recently installed in a facility in Puerto Rico.
“We are excited to have the new ECO Grater in our operation and are experiencing firsthand the great performance of this machine,” said Mr. David Wang, Manager of Green Tire Recycling in Puerto Rico. “This shredder will provide the perfect size for the right wear cost we require.”
