The Beast® Model 1680XP Track
Bandit Industries
Whether climbing rocks, hills, or simply traversing work areas littered with debris, self-propelled track versions of The Beast® offer exceptional mobility and levels of convenience that towable units simply cannot match. The Model 1680XP Track “Son of a Beast” rides on a CAT® 312B steel-track undercarriage with 500mm wide pads for excellent flotation and traction. It features a 26-tooth version of the patented cuttermill used in the 1680XP's bigger brothers, allowing it to easily process logging slash, bark, construction waste, tree waste, limbs and unwanted wood chips into a high-quality mulch. Officially rated as a 16-inch capacity machine, the Model 1680XP has a very wide mill opening of 18 inches by 52 inches, allowing it to process bulky material and chunk wood that other machines in this category struggle to handle. Diesel engine options from 275 to 320 horsepower give the Model 1680XP Track plenty of processing power.
The heart of the Model 1680XP Track is the patented cuttermill. Whereas most horizontal grinders have a mill that turns up, The Beast mill turns down, processing material at the base as opposed to fighting against gravity at the top. The patented design processes material with more of a cutting action, delivering greater machine efficiency while producing a better end-product. A very broad range of tooth and screen options are available to fine-tune the end-product for specific markets, or add a Colorizer to produce top-quality colored mulch for landscaping. An optional whole-tree style chipper drum can be ordered for companies looking to chip material, taking advantage of The Beast’s screening ability to produce specifically sized chips for fuel wood markets.
