Designed to replace the 3-90E landfill compactor, the Terex TC550 Trash-master features a powerful Tier-3 compliant, 525-hp (391-kW) diesel engine and higher machine weight for more efficient compaction. Units offer single pass, full-width coverage, and have a base operating weight of 110,000 pounds (49,895 kg) and a high PLI rating at 733 pounds.
Independent steering and blade hydraulic systems enhance blade operation while steering the new TC550, and a new intercooler package reduces heat for temperatures by 15 percent for a more reliable hydraulic system. A larger cooling package reduces hose deterioration and system leakage, while O-ring face seals on hydraulic connections greatly reduce the chance for leaky fittings.
