Designed as a replacement for Terex’s 3-75E Trashmaster, the new Terex TC400 landfill compactor boasts an 80,000+ pound (36,287+ kg) operating weight for improved compaction performance. This new machine optimizes the balance between floatation and compaction, generating a class-high 606 PLI force. In addition to its high compaction force for its own class, the TC400 also develops higher forces than many 100,000+ pound (45,360+ kg) compactor models, according to Terex. Key features of the TC400 include: exclusive three-point wheel configura-tion; full-width compaction in a single pass; six-inch (152.4 mm) wider front and rear wheels and a one-foot (305 mm) wider machine footprint; and a variety of available options.
The TC400 is powered by a new Tier 3 and Stage IIIA (European) compliant, fuel-efficient diesel engine rated at 390 hp (291 kW), and offering 11 percent more power than previous models. Heavy-duty exhaust piping maximizes uptime of the exhaust system.
