Solar compactor

Designed for parks and arenas, or anywhere trash is prone to spreading over the ground when garbage cans fill up, the solar powered BigBelly trash compactor is designed to make collection simple for everyone involved. Users just open a flap door and drop trash in, where it falls into one of two bins. The unit senses when there is enough trash to need compaction, and starts automatically, using a highly efficient multicrystal photovoltaic module with a solar cell conversion efficiency of over 14 percent. Compaction rates are from 4:1 to 8:1. When completely compacted, LED lights signal maintenance staff. Bags weigh between 25 and 45 pounds depending on contents, and are easily removed from low bins.
