SILT FENCE REPLACEMENT
Filtrexx Silt Soxx are mesh tubes filled with a Filtrexx certified filter media and installed by a certified installer. Silt Soxx is the number one alternative to using silt fence for any area requiring sediment or erosion control. The Silt Soxx traps sediment by filtering water passing through the Silt Soxx which slows down the flow of water and allows it to percolate slowly, creating a settling of solids and provides a true physical, chemical and biological filtration system.
Silt Soxx may also be used in sensitive environmental areas, where movement of wildlife (terrestrial and aquatic) such as turtles, salamanders and others is impeded by the use of a silt fence. For most applications a 12 inch (30cm) diameter Silt Soxx will match or exceed the design capacity required with a normal silt fence. Units are also available in 18 inch (45cm) and 24 inch (60cm) diameters and custom sizes.
