KOBELCO Construction Machinery U.S.A. launched two new SK260DLC-11 models that are purpose-built for the waste and recycling market. The new material handler and scrap loader offer more standard features, enhanced comfort, and improved performance.

Specifications on the material handler and scrap loader

KOBELCO shares that these new machines are purpose-built to meet the demands of the recycling and waste management industries. Powered by a Yanmar Tier IV engine, both versions of the SK260DLC-11 machine meet all EPA requirements. The 4-cylinder Yanmar engine produces 194 hp at 2,200 rpm while minimizing fuel consumption.

As well, the 2 all-new boom and arm combinations of the SK260DLC-11 feature power-generating capacities and working ranges to complete a variety of tasks.

The hydraulic system features an 8-spool main control valve, four pumps (two variable displacement axial piston pumps, one extra gear pump, and one pilot gear pump), and a Boom-to-Arm Regeneration feature that redirects hydraulic oil and pressure between the boom and arm. Both machines have a 106.5 US-gallon fuel tank and a 115.7 US-gallon hydraulic oil tank (tank oil level and hydraulic system).

Comfort designed with operators in mind

A Heavy-Duty Level II Overhead FOPS Guard is standard on both machines and can be tilted open to easily clean the top window. Additionally, Rear Swing Flashers and Rear Work Lights, a KOBELCO U.S.A exclusive feature, are integrated into the counterweight for added safety and visibility on busy job sites. Seven LED lights come as standard to provide additional visibility in low-light conditions. A standard 270-degree view three-camera system provides optimal visibility for the operator.

The Cab Interference Prevention System is another standard safety feature that stops the arm from contacting the body or cab of the machine by using multiple sensors to create an invisible barrier that neither the arm nor tool can cross.

Multiple air conditioning and heater vents are directed towards the operator to maximize comfort, and the Jog Dial integrates several functions into a single user interface with the large 10-inch colour monitor. This easy-to-operate menu screen facilitates the reading of important information including work mode, maintenance intervals, and fuel consumption.

Utilizing a Hydraulic Elevator Cab that reaches a maximum lift height of 19 feet 4 inches, the operator has clear visibility. Other features include a tilting left console for easy entry and exit, adjustable pilot controls, an FM/AM/AUX/Bluetooth radio, a smartphone holder, a USB charger, and a 12V power outlet.
