Turmec and Viably have entered into a strategic partnership to provide integrated waste management solutions to the construction and demolition (C&D) waste sector in the U.S. and Canada.

The partnership will combine Turmec's engineering experience with Viably's portfolio of waste-processing technologies to empower businesses to maximize resource recovery, improve operational efficiency, and significantly reduce dependency on landfills.

Waste in construction gets a new solution

The construction sector generates millions of tons of waste annually, with much of the material being difficult to process. Turmec's engineering solutions, paired with Viably's range of recycling equipment — including the Komptech Terminator high-torque shredder and Ballistor ballistic separator — will help businesses recover high-value materials from C&D waste streams while cutting costs and boosting sustainability.

"Turmec has over 25 years of experience in designing and building best-in-class recycling systems in the waste industry. By partnering with Viably, we can bring this expertise to even more customers across North America, adapting our solutions to meet their needs," said Geoff Bailey, CEO of Turmec.

Viably contractors can benefit from Turmec's tailored plant designs that optimize space and adaptability, allowing facilities to scale with evolving waste streams and regulatory requirements.

Smart system integration to boost efficiency

At the heart of this collaboration is a commitment to circular economy principles which include reducing waste, increasing resource recovery, and ensuring long-term environmental and financial sustainability. By integrating advanced stationary plant technology with intelligent automation, Turmec and Viably will help operators streamline materials processing, reduce downtime, and meet increasing industry and regulatory demands.

"Our partnership with Turmec highlights our commitment to empowering clients with a wider range of waste processing solutions, including advanced stationary plant systems, while delivering innovative and tailored service," stated Viably President, Brandon Lapsys.
