WEIMA America celebrates 25 years of success in the North American market
Ten live demonstrations at an international sales meeting showcased WEIMA’s machines in action
Founded in 1999 by Peter Rössler, WEIMA America chose Fort Mill, South Carolina, as its headquarters due to its strategic location near East Coast ports and major interstates, ideal for importing and distributing large machinery.
Since then, WEIMA has grown to serve a broad range of industries, providing shredders for plastics, paper, waste-to-energy, metals, and more. The company expanded its offerings to include briquette and drainage presses, solidifying its position as a global leader in size reduction technology.
Ahead of the celebration, an international sales meeting brought together professionals from around the world to collaborate and discuss recent projects and global applications of WEIMA's machinery. While the celebration honoured WEIMA's growth in North America, the gathering emphasized the company's dedication to innovation and global success.
The event began with a full day of live demonstrations at the North American headquarters, attracting vendors, dealers, OEMs, business partners, and prospective clients. Ten live demonstrations showcased WEIMA's machines in action, including aluminum can compression, wood dust briquetting, and bathtub shredding. Around 45 guests attended, gaining first-hand insights into the technology's functionality and efficiency.
The celebration continued with a cocktail reception on Thursday evening, featuring live entertainment by Trial by Fire, a Journey tribute band. The evening's festivities, including a photo booth and souvenirs, fostered a sense of camaraderie among WEIMA employees and attendees. Madison Burt, CEO of WEIMA America, Inc., expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and dedication of the WEIMA team and partners, emphasizing the strength of the extended WEIMA family.
"We are so proud of the accomplishments we have achieved in the first 25 years of our existence in North America. With the solid team we have in place, the future is unlimited and exciting!" says Burt.
The celebration concluded Friday evening with a formal dinner, bringing together current and former employees to commemorate the milestone. WEIMA's founder, Peter Rössler, shared stories about the company's early days in North America, while managing partner Martin Friz reflected on the company's journey and shared optimism for the future.
