Terex Recycling Systems' TSD-280 drum screen is designed for heavy-duty processing, improving recycling operations by pre-sorting bulky construction and industrial waste and providing a steady, efficient flow of materials.

Capable of handling raw, unsorted, C&D, and C&I waste of all sizes, the TSD-280's ability to efficiently separate bulky materials from the waste stream aims to eliminate the need for additional manual sorting. This pre-sorting can improve overall sorting efficiency by preventing jams, and providing a more consistent flow of material, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.

"The TSD-280 drum screen is designed to support recycling facilities by improving operational efficiency and contributing to sustainability efforts," says Kenny Hull, product and commercial manager of Terex Recycling Systems. "It is an excellent choice for pre-sorting bulky construction and industrial waste, which can either be disposed of, sorted, or shredded for reintroduction into the process. This results in a more consistent and efficient sorting operation, producing higher-quality recyclables with reduced contamination."

Material capacity, consistency, and higher purity

With less extensive pre-sorting activities, TSD-280 is built to provide customers with higher capacity and improved material purity. The drum screen produces a more consistent material size, resulting in higher-quality recyclables and reduced contamination. Additional benefits include reduced labour costs by eliminating the need for additional material handlers and operators, as well as greater environmental sustainability by contributing to a more efficient and sustainable recycling process.

The TSD-280 can be ordered in various sizes to meet specific needs and application requirements. It is available either as a standalone pre-sorting line or can be integrated into both existing and new recycling systems.
