McIntyre introduces new alligator shear with light curtain emergency stop
The 600XL Special Shear has 608-millimetre blades and a shear force of 120 tons
McIntyre has recently designed and manufactured a new alligator shear with an added safety feature. The new McIntyre 600XL Special Shear is similar to the 600HD, but with a light curtain which works as an emergency stop. The 600XL Special Shear has blades that are 608 millimetres and a shear force of 120 tons.
McIntyre's engineering manager, James Pownall, says, "We've been making alligator shears since 1872 and continue to bring new shears to the market. The 600XL Special Shear was made at a request by the customer and is a fantastic machine to add to our range."
The first machine has been sold to Rhenus Automotive in Germany.
