Sierra International Machinery has introduced the T409E, a fully electric material handler designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability in scrap, waste, and fibre operations. As the industry moves toward greener solutions, the T409E offers versatility and carbon emission reduction for operators.

Features and benefits of the T409E electric material handler

Electric operation: The T409E is powered by dual 1240Ah batteries, offering up to nine hours of operation on a single charge. This 100 percent electric machine is driven by a 50kW AC motor, ensuring clean, efficient energy use that aligns with environmental standards.

Extended reach and visibility: With a 33-foot boom reach and an elevated cab height of 16 feet 5 inches, the T409E provides operators with precise handling and enhanced visibility.

Hydraulic system: Equipped with a variable displacement pump and load-sensing technology, the T409E's hydraulic system ensures precise control, optimizing energy use and extending the machine's operational life.

Operator comfort: The T409E features a soundproof cabin with air conditioning and customizable seating. The spacious cab is designed with clearly arranged controls, enhancing operator performance during long shifts.

Durability and stability: Built to withstand rigorous environments, the T409E comes with solid rubber tires and optional dozer blades and outriggers. The four stabilizers ensure the machine remains stable during operation, even in challenging conditions.

Battery performance: The T409E's dual 14240Ah-80V batteries provide 6 to 9 hours of continuous operation, depending on the operating mode and the number of shifts per day. The machine's four distinct operating speeds—ranging from Eco mode for minimal energy consumption to Power mode for maximum productivity—allow operators to adjust performance based on specific tasks.

Advantages for scrap, waste, and fibre operations

The T409E's ability to operate for extended periods without emissions makes it a sustainable choice for businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint and operational costs.

Easy maintenance and reduced downtime

Maintenance is straightforward with the T409E due to wide access areas and easy-to-use controls. Operators can quickly complete maintenance tasks, minimizing downtime and keeping the machine running efficiently.
