NEW Plastic Film & Paper Sorter Launched at STEINERT Expo
Steinert US unveiled an innovative new plastic film and paper sorting machine, the UniSort Film, at its annual Expo, held this summer in Kentucky.
“With the ability to efficiently and accurately sort plastic film, bags and paper, the UniSort Film helps companies reach an untapped market by sorting material that would normally end up in landfills,” said STEINERT US President Jason Looman.
The challenge for sorting such lightweight plastics is the flyaway nature of the material. STEINERT addresses this challenge with its state-of-the-art Active Object Control (AOC) System, which controls the way the material is sent through the equipment for sorting. The technology of the AOC system results in higher purity and recovery of the end product.
Equipped with ultra-modern HSI (Hyper Spectral Imaging) camera technology, the UniSort Film ensures an exceptionally high degree of flexibility and future usability. It opens the door to sorting functions previously unavailable with standard technology, critical in today's challenging recycling market.
