Fully automated anaerobic digestion plant housed in 40-foot container
The MUCKBUSTER from SEaB Energy (also known as the SEaB MB400) is a fully automated anaerobic digestion plant housed in a 40-foot shipping container. This technology has the potential to significantly increase market adoption for generating energy and income from food waste and other bio wastes directly at the sites of smaller waste producers.
The unit converts biowaste into energy. For electricity generation, the unit ships with a Combined Heat and Power unit (CHP). MUCKBUSTER can process food waste, animal manure and green waste, managing 200 to 1,000 tonnes of organic waste per year, with higher tonnages handled by multiple units. The process includes initial waste chopping and mixing, pasteurisation, digestion, dewatering and the reuse of the liquor as a wetting agent. Remote monitoring is included for ease of servicing and control.
