RMT Equipment’s TRACK-VISION line of backup safety cameras are designed specifically to withstand the severe conditions that can mean a short life for many cameras in scrap yards, demolition zones, landfills, and other harsh environments.

The standard TRACK-VISION camera provides a 115-degree field of view to a machine’s rear and sides, or overlooking the tool end. The unit’s high-resolution lens delivers a crisp, clear image even in low light, and its sensitivity is acute enough that it actually “sees” in the dark better than the human eye.

Despite its sensitivity, however, the camera is ruggedly built to withstand all kinds of impacts, vibration and weather. The camera lens is heated to keep ice, frost and fog from obstructing its view, and its housing is filled with nitrogen gas, so no humidity can form condensation on the inside of the lens.

Plus, the entire unit is fully watertight, salt-spray tested and able to stand up to high-pressure washing. TRACK-VISION backup safety cameras have proven to work in temperatures as cold as -40 degrees C (-50 degrees F) and as hot as 85 degrees C (185 degrees F).

RMT also recently introduced, to North America, the newest edition of the helper7 Series 2 loader scale from VEI Payload Management Systems. Helper7-2 is ideal for use in recycling and waste applications, features updated software and is an all-in-one loader scale that provides highly accurate in-motion weighing with a single unit, including built-in monitor, data recorder and printer.
