McCloskey’s new I-54 impactor has been designed from the ground up for high production and ease of use. This 50-ton, ‘one piece move’ class machine features a 47-inch x 53-inch four bar horizontal impact chamber with a 53.3-inch x 32.5-inch feed opening to allow for high production rates and large feed sizes.
An 8.9 cubic yard hopper with vibratory pan feeder flows material over a fully independent 4-foot 6-inch x 5-foot 9-inch double deck inclined pre-screen, removing fines in advance of the impact chamber. Crushed material is discharged via a heavy-duty, high energy pan feeder measuring 4 feet 6 inches x 6 feet 7 inches, located under the impact chamber, reducing belt wear and greatly reducing the possibility of belt tears.
The I-54 is controlled by an easy-to-use PLC and many functions may be overridden if required using manual valves and flow controls. A 430-hp C13 CAT ACERT engine supplies the I-54’s power.
McCloskey also recently introduced their entry-level J-50 track-mounted, compact jaw crusher, as well as a line of diesel-powered, track-mounted stacking conveyors.
