Morbark recently added the compact 25/36 Whole Tree Chipper to its line-up. The 25/36 uses the proven design and technologies of its big brothers, the Morbark 30/36 and 40/36 models, but with a more compact profile. According to the company, the 25/36 is aimed at the in-woods chipping market, and for those processing moderate volumes. Equipped with a 25-inch by 22-inch infeed opening and horsepower options ranging from 325 to 400 hp, this chipper is compact but is still highly efficient and productive. Units are also very mobile and require no extra permits for transport.
“Providing chips to the biomass and fuel markets is gaining popularity every day,” states Patrick Andres, Sales Manager for the Western U.S. “The 25/36 will allow operators to enter the biomass fuel market with a smaller capital investment. With the addition of this unit Morbark now offers four models of whole tree chippers to fit any application and budget.”
Standard equipment on the Morbark 25/36 Whole Tree Chipper includes the Morbark Integrated Control System, a diagnostic system that monitors hydraulic pressures, temperatures, clutch systems and engine efficiency, while automatically adjusting to maximize performance. Morbark also recently announced a new compact model 5500 Stand Alone Flail, as well as an updated Quick Switch conversion kit which allows grinder owners to easily modify the hammermill of their Morbark horizontal grinder for large volume, high quality standard size chips processing operations.
