Forklift scale system now legal-for-trade in Canada
Avery Weigh-Tronix, LLC recently announced that their FLSC Forklift Scale System, introduced in 2008, has now received legal-for-trade certification in Canada. The FLSC is designed to provide a rugged, responsive weighing solution which is ideal for industrial and commercial applications, including fast-paced recycling centre, warehouse, and freight terminal environments. A patented scale carriage design features two metal plates, paired with Avery Weigh-Tronix’s Weigh Bar electronic weight sensors, for superb accuracy and high repeatability. This design has no flexures, hydraulics or springs, ensuring dependable operation, even while the forklift mast is tilted. The FLSC allows operators to capture weight data quickly and easily en route – without extra steps, stops or route changes required.
The FLSC was developed for use with Class II forklifts and is certified for weighing loads of up to 2,500 kg (5,000 pounds) It offers robust, reliable operation paired with a very large vision window, and a wireless scale carriage option. The FLSC measures loads electronically and conveys the collected information to an embedded summing box. The compiled data is then passed along to one of two in-cab instruments, available with optional Wi-Fi capability (802.11g/b) to facilitate real-time communications to deliver enhanced efficiency.
