Italian manufacturer enlarges range of telehandlers
Manufactured in Italy, the new Panoramic 55.9CS Merlo features a capacity of 5,500 kg (12,125 pounds) and a span of 9 m (29.5 feet). These units are ideal for recycling centres and feature added suspension on strategic components for increased comfort, security and efficiency. Plus, units feature a telescopic boom with hydro-pneumatic BSS suspension (unique to Merlo). This lessens the impact of bumpy ground on the boom and the load, and means that during bucket work, less is lost due to spillage and there is less vibration on the material transported with other attachments.
Additionally, the cabin of the 55.9CS has an independent hydro-pneumatic suspension which increases driver comfort by reducing stress and fatigue during long working periods. Ergonomic Merlo cabins are designed large and feature excellent soundproofing. The Panoramic 55.9CS is powered by a fuel-efficient DEUTZ 140-hp turbo motor, and has all the characteristics of the Merlo range, such as a full three-inch anti-torsion steel belt, high-quality chassis, class 1 hydrostatic transmission, and 360-degree visibility.
