4600XL Wood Hog

The Morbark 4600XL Wood Hog is a mid-sized grinder engineered for high levels of performance, and is now available larger than previously, with an increased hammer mill size of 14 percent and a 36-inch tip swing. Standard features include an easy-to-operate Morbark Integrated Control System (M.I.C.S.) which allows the operator to monitor pressures and feed wheel position, with automatic adjustment of feed rates for increased output and maximized fuel efficiency. Additional features include a 60-inch infeed opening for processing large bulky material, dust suppression system, a hydraulically-operated debris containment door and Cat or Cummins engine options up to 1,050 hp. Units use WHD 120 heavy-duty infeed chain, an internal planetary drive on the feed wheel with no chains or sprockets, and a factory-balanced, laser-cut upturn rotor with forged hammers. Other machine options include an externally adjustable torque limiter, a variety of screen sizes, a hydraulic reversing fan and rod puller, an 11-hp air compressor, magnetized end pulley, extended conveyor, and a dual bed chain drive system. The 4600XL is ideal for clearing debris, yard waste, storm debris and other mixed woody feedstocks.
